Metro Atlanta · Updated by hand, checked by you

Atlanta, on ice and on asphalt.

Every public ice rink and every motorsports venue we could verify around Metro Atlanta, in one place — each one linked directly to the source that actually knows if it's open today.

Ice Skating Rinks

Five rinks run public skating year-round. A longer list of outdoor pop-up rinks opens for the winter holidays only — they're closed right now and typically don't post next season's calendar until autumn.

Open year-round

Note: IceForum's former Town Center location in Kennesaw is no longer listed here — it's been closed for a while, and multiple rink directories confirm it. If it ever reopens under new ownership, it'll go back on this list.

Seasonal — winter holiday pop-ups (closed now, typically Nov–Feb)

These are outdoor or temporary rinks that operate one holiday season and take the ice down afterward. Dates below reflect last winter's (2025–26) run so you know roughly when to look; 2026–27 dates and ticket links are usually posted by each venue in October or November.

Motorsports Venues

From NASCAR Cup weekends to Saturday-night dirt racing to the monthly car show that shuts down a shopping center parking lot, here's every motorsports venue and recurring car event in the Metro Atlanta orbit we could confirm is currently active — plus one well-known track that has closed, so you don't drive out to it by mistake.

This list focuses on venues with a confirmed, active public schedule. There are additional small short tracks in the wider North Georgia region (for example around Winder and Chatsworth); if you know one that should be added, see the update note below.

How this page stays accurate

This page intentionally does not try to display live hours itself. Every venue above manages its own calendar — and cancels or reshuffles it — faster than any third-party page can track. So instead of guessing, each card links straight to the source that's actually current: the venue's own schedule page.

What you can trust here: names, addresses, phone numbers, and which category a venue falls into. What you should always verify on the linked site before heading out: today's specific hours, ticket prices, and whether a session or race has been cancelled.

A small automated check runs every Monday and confirms that every link on this page still resolves. If they're all healthy, the "last verified" date at the top of the page moves forward; if one breaks, that date stays put and we get flagged to fix it — so an unmoved date is itself a signal something needs a look.

If a link is broken, a venue has closed, or you know of one that's missing, let us know and we'll fix it.

Accessibility statement

This page is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which is the technical standard most commonly used to satisfy ADA obligations for web content. In practice that means:

  • Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, section, footer) and a logical heading order, so screen reader and switch-device users can jump straight to a section.
  • A visible "skip to main content" link for keyboard users.
  • Text and background colors checked to meet a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Every interactive control (filter buttons, links) is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
  • Status is never conveyed by color alone — every "Year-round / Seasonal / Closed / Verify before visiting" chip is also labeled in text.
  • Layout uses relative units and reflows down to a single column, so the page stays usable at 200% browser zoom and on small screens.
  • Motion is minimal, and any transition respects a visitor's prefers-reduced-motion setting.
  • Link text describes its destination on its own (for example "Check today's public session times on IceForum.com") rather than generic text like "click here."

If you run into an accessibility barrier anywhere on this page, please email us and we'll address it.
